Alyssa Jaramillo
Creedmoor Elementary Counselor
Alyssa Jaramillo is the Professional School Counselor at Creedmoor Elementary. Originally from Northern New Mexico, she brings a strong commitment to community, connection, and student wellness. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico in 2021 as well as her Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of New Mexico in 2024.
Her professional background includes work in treatment foster care and crisis prevention, supporting children and families navigating complex life experiences. She has also coached girls’ basketball, fostering confidence, resilience, and teamwork in young athletes. Alyssa’s counseling approach is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. She is dedicated to helping students build emotional regulation, coping skills, and a strong sense of belonging while creating a safe and supportive environment where all students feel empowered to succeed. She is excited to be part of the Cougar community and looks forward to supporting the Cougar family here at Creedmoor Elementary.
